Frazier, Darryl Dr.

56, of St. Petersburg, FL, transitioned on September 14, 2025. A proud graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and Florida State University, he went to earn his Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

An educator for more than 25 years, Dr. Frazier dedicated his career to teaching and leadership, serving in many roles including Founding Dean of the school of Professional Studies at Bethune-Cookman University, where he inspired countless students to persevere and reach their goals. His commitment to education, leadership, and mentorship leaves a lasting legacy. Darryl was a member of Zeta Beta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. in Daytona Beach, Florida. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Darryl will be remembered for his humor and lively spirit. He loved his family deeply, enjoyed time with friends, and brought fun and laughter wherever he went. His presence lit up the room, and his joy in life continues to shine through the many lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joyce and Tommie Frazier. Cherished memories he leaves to his sisters, Traci Hollaway (Eric Sr.), Kristal Frazier (Steven Boyd); nieces, nephews, Eric Hollaway II, Lorielle Hollaway, Brooke Harris (LaMicah), Deion Miley, DeVante Miley; grandnieces and nephews, Kaz (Eric), Nadia, Ava, Joyce (Lorielle), Lola, LJ (Brooke), Payton, Xion (DeVante); and a cousin, Marcus Watson, who was like a brother; along with a host of relatives, colleagues, and friends.

Visitation, Sept. 26, 4-7 pm; Wake, 6-7 pm; and Service, Sept. 27, at 11 am; both at Southside Tabernacle.
