Darryl was a great friend in high school. Watching MTV at Amy's house and just hanging out with "the gang". I will always remember him fondly.

We were all roommates, Alan Estes, Joe Woodward and myself.
Darryl, you were a wonderful brother to us. We all bunked together, so we could have a bar in the joining suite. Those were the best gin and tonics I ever had. Darcy became his sweetheart, what a beautiful couple. Remember the 10 foot python I kept in the closet, the day the snake escape and trashed the room. You were so terrified when I came back from classes. We lived so much in that short time together, Love you Bro

We haven't seen each other since high school, Darryl, but it only seems like yesterday. We had good times then. RIP, My Friend. You live on in the lives of your family and the memories of your friends.

I will never forget the times working in the U of R print shop with Darryl. While performing our tasks for the University, Darryl started a side business to put together student resumes. Also, during an alumni weekend, we designed a souvenir "Och Tamale" that we sold to alums in the quad. Darryl was always creative, always funny, an entrepreneur and truly a wonderful human being.

Daryl was a huge influence on me in my college years. He was a dear fraternity brother, friend, and mentor...accepting, creative, FUNNY, and so gentle a soul. I'm so grateful to have had him in my life for that brief moment and I am saddened for the family that feels his loss so much more than I ever could know.

Rest in Peace, my brother and friend

You were a great boss at Instructional Materials at the University of Redlands Darryl! So much so, I would still referred to you as my "Boss". You made coming to work every day a joy. You were also an awesome and supportive brother in our fraternity, Alpha Gamma Nu. I enjoyed keeping in touch with you via e-mail and more recently Facebook. I miss you already my lifelong friend and brother. You are and will continue to be thought of often. Rest in peace Boss! Love you my brother!

Darryl, you were one of the 1st friends, pledge brothers, and classmates I had the pleasure of meeting at the University of Redlands. You were always positive, fun, engaging, and had a creative side unmatched by others. You stood for right vs wrong. You were always there to help and assist others. Your positive influence will always be with me. I will never forget the 4 years together at the UofR. I have nothing but fond memories of school life, fraternity life, and the fun times we spent together. May your memory last forever for all that you have done for others. I know you will continue to look down upon your family and friends, smiling as you have left a positive mark on all of those you have interacted with. Rest in peace bro.

This is such a shock. I was so happy to meet up with you guys in Paris - it seems like yesterday! Darryl was such a huge part of my Redlands experience - he was so involved even though he had already graduated. I will miss his wit, his pragmatism, and his ability to find humor in everything despite being slightly annoyed by the situation. :)

My love to Darcy and the kids and the entire Mix family - I wish you peace in this difficult time.

Dear Darryl- you are a fun - wonderful spirit from college. Lots of fun memories from when you and Joe were my suite mates. All my love to your family and friends during these days. Especially your Mom whose visits were so fun.
