The world has lost a beloved wife, mother, mother in law and grandmother. Our dear Darshan Prasad, 87, died Thursday, July 28, 2022 peacefully at her home where she lived with her loving husband of sixty years Murli, her son Neal, daughter in law Kimberley, and grandchildren Mia, Michael, Dominic, Gabriel and Ava.
Darshan was born January 1, 1935 in India.
Darshan has always been an extremely hard worker, and dedicated her entire life to the service of others. As a RN, she worked for many years in the OR and positively impacted so many countless lives. Darshan loved watching the world grow and expand around her and took endless joy in nature and gardening, her green thumb was that of lengend. Darshan was an amazing cook and bestowed the beauty and importance of incredible home cooked meals on her thankful family. Her love was infinite and strong and was felt in every smile, every playful tilt of her head and in her heavenly hugs. She cherished the small moments such as waiting for a new episode of her favorite show, sitting on the porch enjoying a breezy, quiet sunset or having a cup of tea in the afternoon with her loving grandchildren. Her family admired her for always putting the people she loved in front of herself and loving everyone unconditionally. Her laugh was the most amazing thing in the world and we are going to miss every part of her smile.
"Goodbyes are for those only who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation - Rumi"
"We little knew that day, God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide. And although we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as god calls us one by one, the chain will link again. - Ron Tranmer"
Darshan's viewing is to be held on Tuesday, August 2nd from 4-6 PM at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd. Bayville, NJ 08721. Funeral will be Wednesday, Aug 3rd at 11:00am at Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Rd. Toms River 08753.
