Darwin Colorado Pecson, of
San Diego, California, a lover of music and a faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025 at the age of 78. Born January 18, 1947 in the Philippines, he was exceptionally talented in math, science and music. He attended the prestigious Mapua Institute of Technology in the Philippines majoring in Electrical Engineering. He moved to the United States to join his wife and sister's family. His last occupation was working at M Beauty Clinic with his family, their team and patients, a job he loved and took pride in.
Darwin will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him for his gentle spirit, unmatched kindness, and the many meaningful ways he touched the lives of others.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Nora Luz Pecson, and his loving parents, Pedro Pecson and Alejandria Colorado. Darwin is survived by his devoted sisters who love him dearly: Heidi Colorado Pecson, Karen Pecson, and Michelle Pecson Hiliz, who will cherish the special times they shared.
A man of deep faith and quiet strength, Darwin was a devoted choir member at First United Methodist Church in National City, where his strong singing voice lifted the spirits of his church family. He was also known for his excellent piano playing skills "by ear," especially performing Filipino classic songs, a talent that brought joy to countless family gatherings and community events.
Though a man of few words, Darwin always offered honest, insightful and thoughtful comments that reflected his wisdom and caring nature. While he did not have children of his own, he played a meaningful role in raising his sisters' children, Dr. Tess Mauricio Lee, Richard Mauricio, Cheryl Mauricio Wang and Angela Mauricio Torres and their children, offering unconditional love and support throughout the years. He was beloved as Uncle and Lolo Darwin and will be missed.
We thank God for the gift that is Darwin's incredible life of love, faith and service. Those who were blessed to have experienced his generous caring and support will forever cherish these memories.
