Daryl Fair was a my mentor at TCNJ in the mid 80's and also taught my son. He was one of the most decent men I have known and is surely missed.

Sorry to hear of Dr. Fair's passing. I was a student of his in the late 70s and did indeed go on to Law School and a career in law [I won't hold that against him - but did appreciate his class in Constit. Law]. He's missing a lot of great Constit. law issues.

Daryl was my mentor when I arrived at TSC in the fall of 1976. Always gracious, exceedingly kind, profoundly intelligent and with a brilliant sense of humor that was irresistible. He was unique and irreplaceable. My sincere condolences to his family for they have lost a most singular individual! There is much, however, that will bring a smile once the devastating pain of his loss fades. I recall a faculty meeting early in my tenure at TCS when a student arrived with a note for me. Not knowing who I was the student asked Daryl where he could find Prof. Cole and Daryl's ascerbic reply was, "He's the one who looks like a student." Rest in peace dear friend.

his energy & enthusiasm to lead students to a better way of thinking critically about the world around him will be greatly missed. only knowing him in passing through conversations at competitions, you could tell that he had passion for life & learning that translated to all that knew him. his teams were always fierce competitors and gracious winners. let his legacy live on in his teams' journeys ahead.

Dr. Fair was my faculty advisor at Trenton State College in the early 1970s. I remember him as a scholarly and friendly person who always took a personal interest in me. He was most helpful as my mentor while I was working on my Master's Degree.
Rest in peace, good doctor.
