Daryl Wayne Goin-age 74 of Corryton went to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith. Daryl was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retired employee of Smurffit-Stone, Knoxville. Preceded in death by his parents, Rev. John and Bertha (Hickle) Goin; brother, Samuel Goin; son-in-law, Adam Gass.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, LaVerne (Collins) Goin; sons, Shane Goin and wife, Jean, Travis Goin; daughters, Rachel Gass, Samantha Goin and fiancé, Andrew Foust, Lillian Goin, Emily Goin, Melissa Graves and husband, Robbie; like a daughter, Shelma Wolfenbarger; several loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brothers, Rev. Leonard Goin and wife, Irene, Johnny Goin and wife, Deneane; special friends, Gabe Morgan, Jeffery Carpenter and Several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, with funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Phillip Hayes officiating. Military graveside 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2025, at East Tennessee State Veteran Cemetery, Knoxville, by Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard. Friends will meet at the cemetery by 1:45 p.m. Monday. Pallbearers: Shane Goin, Travis Goin, Cody Goin, Gregory Goin, Gabe Morgan, Jeffery Carpenter, Doyle Collins, Robbie Graves. Honorary pallbearers, Nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville.
