Daryl Ratliff Obituary
He retired as Director of the Department of Labor and served as Office Manager for 35 years for the Social Security Office; he was a graduate of Pikeville College and Morehead State University, served as a former President of Pikeville Kiwanis Club; was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a faithful member of the First Christian Church of Pikeville.
Daryl was born at McAndrews, Kentucky on July 28, 1934, the son of the late Phil and Gertrude Deskins Ratliff.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James Richard Ratliff, John Talmadge Ratliff and Ferrell Clayton Ratliff.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Faye Stephenson Ratliff, two sons, James B. Ratliff (Melissa) of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Philip Q. Ratliff (Tammy) of Georgetown, Kentucky and one daughter, Ashley Davis (Tristan) of Raccoon, Kentucky.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Tyler Ratliff (Ashley), Chris Ratliff (Megan), Will Ratliff (Brannah), Peyton Ratliff, Margot Davis, Lynette Davis and Meredith Davis and four great-grandchildren, Lila Ratliff, Theo Ratliff, Matthew Ratliff and Clara Ratliff and his Special Caregiver, Krissy Kimball and His Righthand Man, Billy Flanary.
A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Friday, February 6, 2026, at 12:30 p.m., at the Pikeville First Christian Church on Chloe Road, Pikeville, Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
