It took me a while to actually have the heart to write this because of all of the emotions. Daryl and I worked at ASU together for several years and he was truly one of my best friends there. He was literally one of the first people I met after moving to Arizona. As a co worker he was cool, but our relationship quickly turned more into an uncle/nephew relationship. Even years after I left the job he and I remained really close friends (family) and we texted or talked about once a week or so. Occasionally we would catch up for a brew and laugh and share stories and the conversation always ended with him imparting some uncle like knowledge on me with all jokes aside. Life can be brutal sometimes. This is definitely one of those times. My heart is very heavy and my head is bowed. You will be missed but always remembered. My sincerest condolences to his family with special condolences to his daughter. Kristina... your dad loved you more than anyone in his life. I promise you that. I´m going to miss "Uncle D" severely. Gone way too soon. Rest up my friend. Rest up Unc. Peace and blessings.

Daryl was a warm and kind soul. I met him two years when he welcomed me at my new job. He always smiled when he saw me and shared his favorite dining spots around the Valley. May God comfort his friends and family during this time of sorrow.

Daryl was a truly sweet and kind soul. He was always so sweet to me. He actually read and liked my first book. I believe they'll be a nice guy, Daryl, in a future novel-my condolences to the family and friends who mourn.

May he RIP in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the light no comes to the father except through me. John 14: 6

I have known Daryl for 7yrs or so. We have had many entertaining discussions. Daryl has been a very good friend. He will be greatly missed by myself and many of the staff at Famous Dave's. I cried when I walked into Dave's to hear the news of my good friend. Daryl was a great honest hard working man proud of who he was and what he accomplished in life. He spoke many times of his family and friends. He was most recently proud of becoming a Grandfather for the first time. I will really miss sitting with him. A great friend!!!
