My deepest condolences to the Strickler Family and all of Daryl's friends.
One time when Daryl and I were living in Annville next to the fire company, we decided we wanted some pizza. But not just any pizza, we wanted Grotto pizza on the boardwalk in MD. It was the off-season, not beach weather by any means, so we took a road trip. Annoying our current girlfriends with continuously replaying Queen's Flash Gordon soundtrack the entire way there and back.

Daryl and I served as acolytes together at Millcreek Lutheran Church for many years. I think our least favorite service was during Advent, where we had to light the candles of the Advent wreath. Not only was it difficult to light, it became even harder when the wreath started to spin around. Daryl and I would each try to get the other one to light it. I also remember many years participating in the "Crop Rock" with Daryl. Instead of doing the traditional "Crop Walk", our church did the rock, in which we had to stay up the entire night, rocking away in our rocking chairs in the church Multi-Purpose room (I remember part of this time we would watch the Main Event wrestling on TV). This always happened on a Saturday night, and would finish up as church ended on Sunday morning. I was fortuneate enough to be good friends with Daryl through High School. To Julie, Gerald, Derek, Dusty, Lori, Carter, Lucas, Allison, Dakota and C.J., you will be in my thoughts.
