Dasa Meadows Obituary
January 1, 1941 - January 2, 2025
On January 2, 2025, Dasa Rowland Meadows of San Antonio passed away at the age of 84. Dasa was born on January 1, 1941 in Del Rio, Texas to Stella Elizabeth Martin and John Rowland, Jr. Dasa was preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, Robert Burney, III. She is survived by her daughter Shawn Meadows, son Kevin Meadows, grandchildren, Lindsey Locke and Caroline Meadows, her sister, Jan Wilson, brother Dennis Rowland, nephews Bret and Chris Sano, cousins Dee Rowland and Marcella Whittaker, and numerous others.
Dasa graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1959 and chaired the alumni committee for many years. She was also a member of the Delta Zeta sorority at UT Austin.
Dasa was said to have never met a stranger. She traveled extensively and loved working in her backyard oasis, watching the Longhorns play football, going to Port Aransas, and most of all, visiting with family and her many friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place on February 1, 2025 at noon at Sonterra Country Club.
