Dave Goss Obituary
MAJ.(R) William David Goss, age 73, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on June 22, 2025.
A Memorial gathering will be held 4pm, Friday, June 27, 2025 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with a presentation of Full Military Honors at 6pm.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 4pm until 6pm, the hour of honors, at the funeral home.
Dave entered this life on April 10, 1952, in Shelbyville, TN to the late William and Mary Ruth Goss. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Science from Austin Peay State University and a Master’s Degree of science from Middle Tennessee State university. He retired from the U.S. Army after honorably serving over 24 years, leading and inspiring many soldiers throughout his career. After retiring from the U.S. Army, Dave started his second career with the State of Tennessee and retired after dedicating 27 years. He will be fondly remembered for his love of reading, watching old movies, history and cooking. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of over 38 years, Joan Owen Goss; children, Tim (Jessica) Warren of Clarksville, Paul (Kristen) Swaffer of Mt. Juliet; grandchildren, Aaron Warren, Katelynn Warren, Hayden Warren, and Frank Swaffer.
