David E. Shero, 68, of Hastings, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, in UPMC Altoona.
Born April 26, 1956, in Spangler, he was a son of the late Francis and Donna Mae (Miller) Shero.
After high school, Dave earned his CDL and began his lifelong career as a truck driver having worked along side his father; and Rose and Liberty Trucking Companies.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Dave leaves behind his daughters, Sandra J. (Matt Sever) Shero of Northern Cambria, Christine A. (Mike) Platko of Nicktown, and Candy A. (Sean M.) Yannella of Hastings; eight grandchildren, Shannon Shero, Josh Platko, Derek (Katie Jo) Yannella, Austin Yannella, Jennifer Shero, Kierra Yannella, Krista Platko, and James Platko; four great-grandchildren, Xavier, Evan, Wyatt, and Shaylee Yannella; brothers, Donald Shero, John Shero, and James Shero; sisters, Marty Ann Shero and Susan (Tom) Kane; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
To honor Dave's wishes, services were held privately.
