I had the pleasure of working with Dave and Mickey, along with the late Toby Cunningham, during Dave's tenure with the Detroit Red Wings. Dave had a sharp sense of humor and one of the most intelligent hockey minds in the game. Rest in Peace, Dave.

Hockey is a particularly difficult sport to call. Dave's announcing work was remarkable, and his calls always enhanced the event. Rest In Peace.
