Dave Torgerson, age 83, of Danville, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 5, 2026, in Danville. Born Sunday, June 14, 1942, in Bode, Iowa, he was the son of the late Justin & Claryce Vivian Torgerson. His loving wife, whom he married Monday, October 31, 1994, is Beverly Wells Torgerson. Dave retired from Schwan's, where he worked as a manager for over 35 years. Dave was an avid golfer and University of Kentucky fan. He enjoyed spending time at the lake. His greatest joy, however, was to spend time with his family and have family dinners together.

In addition to his wife, Dave leaves behind four children, Kristine Leigh Janssen of Danville, Dan Clay Blakeman of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, Kathleen Lynn Kluesner (Kevin) of Huntersville, North Carolina, and Dana Laine Southerland (Scotty) of Danville; 11 grandchildren, Lindsay Yeager (Brent), Jeremy Janssen (Morgan), Ashleigh Janssen, Will Blakeman, Jordan Heffner (Ryan), Joshua Kluesner (Jessica Driver), Benjamin Kluesner, Jeff Southerland, Ty Southerland (Kelsey), Courtney Watts (Brad), and Holli Carpenter; 20 great-grandchildren, Haleigh, Hayden, Hudson, Tobi Ann, Hayes, Arianna, Gabriella, Emersyn, Oakleigh, Atlas, Kimberly, Carter, Carsyn, Olivia, Caraway, Adalyn, Bridger, Emma, Mylah, and Ella; two great-great grandchildren, Jensen and Millie; and numerous other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

A Public Visitation will be held 5-8PM Monday, February 9, 2026, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.

A Public Funeral Service will be held 1PM Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the funeral home. Bro. David Smith will officiate the service.

Burial will follow in Hustonville Cemetery. Dave's grandsons and grandsons by marriage will serve as Active Pallbearers. Jason Petrey, Isaiah Talley, and Dave's granddaughters, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
