Davey Cooley Obituary
Dave was born August 17 th, 1951, in Paris Texas. He later moved to Irving. He worked as an Iron Worker,
an on-air Disc Jockey and as a Truck Driver. He spent over 30 years both on the radio and driving a truck.
He retired from radio in 2007 when he purchased his own 18-wheeler. He continued trucking as his
chosen profession until he retired from that in 2019.
Dave is survived by a daughter, Lauren Dodson, 3 sons, James Christopher Cooley, Justin Coy Cooley, and
Jason Conor Cooley, 5 Grandchildren and other family and friends.
Dave is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Adean Cooley and his sister Cheryl Ellis.
A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be held at a later date.
