David L. Adams, 83, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022, at his residence. He was born on December 25, 1938, in Martinsville, Va., to the late George W. Adams and the late Catherine Atkinson Adams.
David was a member of Schoolfield Church of the Brethren. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard and retired from Dan River Mills after 43 years.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Rhodes Adams; daughter, Dawn Adams Bryant; sons, David Lee Adams Jr. (Patricia) and Derek Adams (Misty); grandchildren, Angela Adams Thompson (Andrew), Joseph Adams, Thomas Adams, Melayna Bryant, Nora Adams, and Angelina Trevino; great-grandchildren, Audrey Thompson, Alyssa Thompson, and Andrea Thompson; and special mother-in-law, Irene Clifton Rhodes.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Gina Michelle Adams and brother, Larry Adams.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, August 1, 2022, at Danville Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Richard Berkley and Pastor Bob Thurman officiating.
