David L Adcock 81 of Whiting died Friday May 2, 2025, peacefully at home. Born in Horton, KS he resided in Jackson for most of his life and then Westfield, PA and then Lancaster area from 1999-2024 and more recently of Whiting. David served in the Navy during the Vietnam War from 1963-1967. He worked at JCP&L in Lakewood for 32 years before retiring in 1999. He was the Whitesville Fire Co Chief in Jackson for 7 years and on the Whitesville Fire Commissioners District #1, The Jackson Moose Lodge and a Lifetime Member of the Jackson & Knoxville, PA VFW Posts. He enjoyed hunting, camping & fishing, NASCAR & a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. He is predeceased by his sister, Janet, sister-in-law, Joyce Adcock. Surviving is his wife of 56 yrs, Sharron L Adcock, children, Christopher Adcock & his wife Maria and Kim Hundertpfund & her husband Tim, 3 grandchildren, Morgan, Melissa & Alex & great granddaughter, Layla and his brother Gerald Adcock, brother-in-law John Duke & his wife Beth, nieces & nephews, Olivia, Sarah, Jack & Shelley. Memorial Gathering is Thursday 5-8 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 125 S. Cooks Bridge Rd Jackson. Inurnment is Friday 10am at the Brigadier Gen Wm C Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
