David Adkins Obituary
Born June 12, 1965 at Union he was a son of the late Roger Garland and Bonnie Sue Meadows Adkins.
David was a former truck driver and former Fire Chief of Summers County Volunteer Fire Department Station 13 with over 30 years of service to the community. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, flea markets, antique clocks, helping others and spending time with family and friends.
David was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Scott Adkins.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Alice Adkins; one daughter, Samantha Adkins; one brother, Scottie Adkins and wife Becky; one aunt, Betty Oakes and husband Dave and their daughter Shelley; one uncle, Kenny Meadows and wife Lisa; one special cousin, Billy Cales; best friend, Jeff Hurst; special friend, Gaye Shaver and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Roy Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Farley Cemetery on River Ridge. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral parlors. Pallbearers will be members of the Summers County Volunteer Fire Department.
