David Francis McManus Alexander passed away unexpectedly at his home in Temecula, California on June 23, 2025, from a sudden heart attack.

Dave was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 22, 1957, the oldest child of J. Hugh and Ann Alexander. He attended St. John's High School and studied Zoology at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. His employment at the University of Toledo Facilities Offices provided experience to expand a successful career in Southern California with the Familian Corporation and Ferguson Enterprises. Among his many interests, Dave loved to cook, especially various ethnic dishes; he was a Formula 1 auto racing aficionado, a fan of other motor sports, football and basketball, and was an accomplished audiophile, music lover and classic movie buff.

Dave was a devoted husband survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Jan (Kinsel) Alexander of Temecula, California; sister, Mary Beth (Paul) Young, of Blissfield, Michigan; brother, John Alexander (Jeremy Kuhn) of San Antonio, Texas; nephews, Shaun (Casey) Young, Alexander (Hannah) Young, Patrick (Wynter) Young; niece Erin (Ben) Coutcher; and 9 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a niece, Keri Young.
