David Allen

ADRIAN - David W. Allen Sr., age 77 of Adrian and formerly Clinton, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones. He is the husband of Sandra S. Allen (Kwek), they shared 58 years of blissful marriage together having their nuptials in Livonia, MI, on October 15, 1966.
Dave was born in the family home in Dearborn Heights, MI to his parents Lloyd Allen Sr. and Alice Allen (Dupuis). He graduated from Haston High School in 1965 Dearborn Heights, MI afterwards graduating from Concordia University Ann Arbor, MI in 1994. He was employed at Ford Motor Company as a tool and die apprentice working his way up to Supervisor. After working 30 years for the establishment, he retired. He is a Navy Veteran that spent his tour working on jet engines.
He belonged to the Clinton Volunteer Firefighters for 10 years. Coaching for his children, he was an instructor for the Clinton Little League for 15 years. His heart and soul went into the Buckeye Hunting Club having plenty of hanging horns on the wall to show for it. He enjoyed fishing for salmon and bass. Another joy of his was golfing and being able to shoot the shit with his buddies that call him "pops." He will be remembered for his Martin Guitar, for playing it for anyone who would listen and his comedic personality.
David is survived by his wife, Sandra S. Allen (Kwek); his sons, David W. Allen Jr (April Allen) and Mark Allen (Laura Allen); and his Grandchildren, Brean Banks, Danielle McWhorter (Cory McWhorter), Erich Allen, Johnny Allen, Sara Allen, Aliya Allen, Sidney Allen, Harrison Allen and sister, Alice Schell. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Lloyd Sr. and Alice Allen Sr.; children, Amy and Jason Allen; brother, Lloyd Allen Jr.; and sister, Doris Diehl.
Visitation for David will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, 1448 Short St., Tecumseh, MI 49286, with funeral services immediately following at 3:00 PM. Pastor Dan Crist will officiate, and cremation will follow.
