Donald "David" Anglin Jr., currently of Rome, Ga, went to be with our Lord early morning January 8th, 2025 at the age of 44.
David "Danger" Anglin to some, was born in Augusta, Georgia on December 16th, 1980 to April "Lynn" Hickman and Donald "Donny" Anglin Sr. David played football for Screven County High School, #72 GO GAMECOCKS! After graduating in 1999, David started working toward his business degree and found his dream at Lowe's in 2001. In 2020 David made the highlight of his Lowe's career by becoming the Store Manager of Rome #1513. After 23 years with Lowe's David finally felt like he found his work home and family. David strongly believed in his family, his faith, his career, and his community; often merging them all. His one pride and joy was Sleep in Heavenly Peace. SHP is an organization that focused on making sure all children had a bed to sleep in. Every year it was his goal to have more volunteers and more beds made.
If there was one thing David was, it was determined. No matter what the challenge or request, he gave his all to ensure he exceeded all expectations whether for himself or others. David was beloved by everyone who ever met him. An amazing father, a wonderful husband, crazy best friend, and uplifting coworker. No matter the circumstance, David would be there for you. If you needed someone to listen, if you needed an honest opinion (oh he had that for you), or if you just needed a hug. David's passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his stories and hilarious sense of humor. He truly brought life to any room he walked into.
David was loved by so many. Even though he was going through so much in his cancer journey, his positive outlook, generous spirit, and kind heart left an everlasting impression. All thoughDavid is gone we can feel comfort he is with the Lord finally pain free and at peace.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald David "Donny" Anglin Sr., his paternal grandparents, Catherlene Ellis Anglin and Rev. James Richard Anglin, his maternal grandparents, Gloria and Robert "Bobby" Hickman.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Anglin, his children, Brody Anglin and Sophia Anglin, all of Rome, GA, his mother and step-father, April and Jimmy Northcutt, his sister, Rebecca Anglin, special nieces Shaylee, Karleigh, and Emily Crews, all of Sylvania, his brother, Daniel Anglin and his boys of Winder, mother-in-law, Marcia Brown of Rome, father-in-law and his wife, Mike and Laura Aventurato, sister-in-law, Alexa Aventurato (Justin), both of Covington, Ben, Max, and Thea, and brother-in-law, Michael Aventurato of St. Petersburg, FL.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 2:00pm at the Joiner Anderson Screven Chapel with Rev. Travis Smith and Rev. Bert Hickman officiating. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at the Bascom Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Darb Martin, Johnny Szotkiewicz, Michael Aventurato, Rob Ables, Hunter Haskins, and Lee Eason.
Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Lowe's.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for contributions to a charity near to David's heart, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, at https://shpbeds.org/get-involved/
The services will be livestreamed and available to view after at the following link https://view.oneroomstreaming.com/index.php?data=MTczNjcwMDAwMjM0NTA4NiZvbmVyb29tLWFkbWluJmNvcHlfbGluaw==
