Twenty five years ago, Dave joined my trial team as a young and eager paralegal in the U.S. Attorney´s office in Washington, DC, where I was a federal prosecutor. I believe that such an experience encouraged him to obtain his own legal credentials and to become a highly successful courtroom advocate in his own right. I was very saddened to hear the news of his untimely passing. Dave was an exceptional person, always optimistic, engaging and helpful. When we worked together at the U.S. Attorney's Office, Dave distinguished himself by his unrelenting effort and commitment to excellence, always working tirelessly to complete every aspect of case preparation and task management. I recall delegating responsibility to him for the preparation and organization of over one thousand trial exhibits in a high profile case of great significance. He managed them flawlessly, and he did so because he believed in and promoted the cause of justice and the advancement of victims' rights. We were successful in the cases we worked on together because of his numerous contributions.
I'll always remember his willingness to help others, both professionally and personally. He also had a tremendous, dry sense of humor, a welcome distraction from frequent long and difficult hours in precise case preparation. He was a pleasure to be around, and I, among many others, will miss him. God bless him and his family. Bill Sullivan
