David Terry Austin was born on March 25, 1958 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late Buster Alexander and Mary Ellen Austin.
David honorably served his country in the United States National Guard. He worked for Garza Mobile Home Servicing. "Crock", as everyone knew him by, enjoyed riding around in Walnut Grove and Bruton Branch, looking for muscadines in the fall, and being with his family. He attended Bumpus Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Waterloo, Alabama.
David Terry Austin departed this life on September 28, 2023 in Florence, Alabama at the age of 65 years, 6 months, and 3 days.
He is survived by his sister, Sherry Qualls and her husband Keith of Michie, Tennessee; nieces, Brittney Fox Finley of Stantonville, Tennessee and Jamie Austin Richardson of New Albany, Mississippi; nephew, Jason Fox of Counce, Tennessee; great niece, Gracie Williams of Stantonville, Tennessee; and great nephews, Jason "J.J." Welsh of Michie, Tennessee and Kailer Richardson of New Albany, Mississippi.
In addition to his parents, "Crock" was preceded in death by his daughter, Terrie Faith Austin and brother, Jimmy Austin.
