David A. Bachler, 61, of
Holcombe, WI, passed away Monday June 12th, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at Sacred Heart Hospital in
Eau Claire, WI, after having multiple strokes.
David was born December 2nd, 1961 to Robert and Irene (Bosinske) Bachler in
Ladysmith, WI.
He married his High School sweetheart Cynthia Hohlfeld on November 15th, 1980. They were married 42 years and raised two children, Nicholas and Natasha. His three granddaughters were his "Beauties" and they called him "Beast"! They loved his barbecued chicken and requested it often.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Northern Clearing Inc. for 20 years.
David was an avid outdoors man and he loved the cold weather, plowing snow, and ice fishing with his friends and brother-in- laws. He was always the first to offer help no matter what, no matter where. He was a very giving man, and that is why he decided to become an organ donor, even if he could only help one person he thought it would be worth it.
He was given the nicknames of Turbo and BooBoo! Tinkering outside in his garage and driving his tractor were his happy places.
David is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cynthia of Holcombe, his two children; Nicholas Bachler (Sommer Fiore) of Holcombe, Natasha (Ryan) Gay of Neenah, his grandchildren; Bailee Gay, Kinslee Gay and Bella Bachler, his mother Irene Bachler of Holcombe, his sister Lynn (Don) Lunemann of Bloomer, father and mother in-law Richard (Donna) Hohlfeld of Holcombe, brother-in-law Craig (Betty) Hohlfeld of Turtle Lake, sister-in-law Crystal Magnuson of Eau Claire, he is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Robert Bachler, and his brother Timmie Bachler.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday June 20th, 2023 at 1:00pm at Borton-Leiser Funeral Home in
