Obituary published on Legacy.com by West Funeral Home & Life Tribute Center - West Fargo on Oct. 10, 2025.
David William Bader was born on February 13, 1972, to William and Judie (Link) Bader. He grew up in Jamestown, ND and graduated from Jamestown High School where he met his future wife, Paula.
After graduation, Dave and Paula moved to Aberdeen, SD. They married October 12, 1991, and their first son, William was born. Eventually, they moved back to Jamestown. Dave worked as an autobody technician and was the best painter in town. Dave and Paula had two more boys, Wyatt and Westin. Dave started college in Valley City, worked, was an involved dad and still managed to have time for projects around the home.
Dave and family would move to Fargo, where he graduated college and found a job at Microsoft. He was employed there for 20 years. He continued to work hard and was always there for family and friends.
Dave loved entertaining, sharing a beer with friends and family, preparing meals for the holidays, and cranking up the music for anyone who wanted to come hang out at the pool. He was the proud grandpa of four beautiful grandchildren. He was a loving pet owner to many dogs and cats throughout the years.
Dave enjoyed trips with Paula, family, and friends. He was a jack of all trades, the one to call if you needed something fixed. He never did anything half-way. Dave was proud of his annual Christmas display.
Dave leaves behind the love of his life, wife of 34 years, Paula Bader; three sons and daughters-in-law William and Marissa Bader, Wyatt and Elizabeth Bader, Westin and Lexi Adilis; four grandchildren Bruce, Clayton, Teddi and Charlie; his parents William and Judie Bader; sister Becky Eissinger (Tim); father-in-law Paul McDaniel (Sherri); mother-in-law Diane Dahl; brothers- and sisters-in-law; nephews, nieces, and many family who loved and looked up to him and his best friend since childhood Kevin Whitney; Jason and Corrin Jones-Kramer who went on many adventures together; and all of the friends he made along the way.
Dave was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Bader, father-in-law Kirby Dahl, and his grandparents on both the Bader and Link sides.
Dave will be remembered and dearly missed by all who loved him. If you are or know someone who is having a difficult time, please reach out for help.
