Earl Grubbs
Yesterday
A distinguished member of the Clemson Class of 1967 now rests in honored glory as God's newest angel. David and I were classmates and were in the Clemson ROTC program from 1963-1967. After our ROTC summer camp at Fort Bragg in 1966, David was chosen to be the Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Commander of the 4 Battalion in which I served as one of his Cadet Company Commanders. David was a kind and gentle sole who commanded respect just as he gave respect. I will always remember the camaraderie we shared during our CU years and now render a final salute for this true American Patriot. May his sterling legacy and devotion to our great country live on as a quiet reminder as to all the good David accomplished on his life on earth. Earl Hansford Grubbs, CU 67, Retired Army Officer
