Funeral services for David W. Barnes “The Schwan’s Man” are Monday, December 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Monday 12:00 p.m. until service time. Interment is at Blooming Grove Cemetery, Palmersville.
Mr. Barnes, 63 years old, died at his home on Thursday, November 30, 2023. He was born on January 14, 1960 in Memphis to Jackie W. Barnes and Annette McFarland Armstrong.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Stewart Barnes of Palmersville, son Richard W. Barnes of Portland, ME, mother Annette Armstrong, sister Angela Corley and brother Scott Barnes all of Memphis, TN.
He is preceded in death by his father, step-father Ray Armstrong, sister Audra Young and brother Tim Armstrong.
