David Battaion Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Conger-Morris Funeral Directors - Central Point on Feb. 11, 2026.
David Allan Battaion went home to Heaven on February 8, 2026. He was born on April 22, 1944, in San Francisco, California, to Edward and Anna Battaion.

He attended All Hallows Catholic School where he was an altar boy and then went on to graduate from Riordan High School.

Dave enlisted into the Marines right out of high school and served in Vietnam from 1963 to 1967. He was an excellent and dedicated Sergeant, Marksman, and Jet Mechanic.

Upon returning to the United States, he met his wife Linda, and they wed on Valentine's Day in 1970.

In 1979, they moved to Oregon, where he operated the Eagle Point Chevron for many years. He then went on to be a Service Advisor for several different automotive establishments.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved everything 49ers. He loved cruising around in his 1969 Road Runner and attending the local cruises. He loved his family fiercely and he was loved by everyone that knew him. His smile and hugs were the best. He was an amazing husband, daddy, Grampy, brother, Uncle father-in-law and friend.

He is survived by his wife Linda of 55 years; his daughter Suzie and her husband Scott; grandson Tyler and his partner Steven; granddaughter Allison and her boyfriend Tharon; his great-grand pups Doc and Daisy Mae; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Anna; sister Sandy; and brothers Jerry and Mike.

Just remember this is not "Goodbye," it's a "See you later."
