David was kind, musical, a committed volunteer and a really decent person. You could sense his spirit and soul in every interaction. Although I did not know him well, I remember our times together and his kind demeanor. My prayers and condolences to all who knew him and were touched by his life. Rabbi, Brian Zimmerman.

Even though David and I did not know each other during his undergraduate years at Tulane, we were able to connect during our Tulanian reunions. I was honored to finally meet him and become friends, while sharing memories together. During our reunions at the evening reunion jams, I was amazed by his musical talent as a guitarist, pianist, and vocalist. Truly, a one-of-a-kind human being that always shared his friendship, love, and talent with all whom he met. Whenever the Tulanians reunite, your name will always be foremost in our hearts and minds.

When I auditioned for Tulanians I did not know it was a "pops" group. I had nothing prepared. Patty Poe asked if I knew the song "If." She whispered the words in my ear and David found my key and accompanied me. I felt so confident with him playing. He always had your back.
