David Leroy Baxa

David Leroy Baxa, age 72, of Buckhannon, WV died Sunday, December 28, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 24, 1953, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Gilbert and Ruby Ours Baxa. On December 7, 1984, he married Barbara Crumrine who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Caraline Baxa and spouse, Ethan Roth of Buckhannon; two grandchildren, A.J. Thrasher and Vivian Roth both of Buckhannon; one sister, Carol Baxa Meese of Buckhannon; one nephew, Paul Crumrine and daughter, Molly, of Morgantown, WV; three nieces, Bridgette Crumrine of New Martinsville, WV, Laura Meese of Buckhannon and Danielle Burkhammer (and family) also of Buckhannon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Baxa; grandmother, Cleo Ours; brother-in-law, Carl Crumrine and his wife, Lorraine; and brother-in-law Chuck Meese. Mr. Baxa was a jack-of-all-trades who was able to build, fix, or repair almost anything. He spent his life as a contractor and skilled tradesman who generously shared his talents and time to help others. He had a love for hunting, fishing, gardening and beekeeping.
