Bend, Oregon Dave was an active athlete throughout the majority of his life playing all sports through high school and intramural sports in college. After high school graduation, Dave attended and graduated in 1982 with honors from Texas Christian University, TCU, in Fort Worth and majored in Business Finance. Shortly after graduating, he was offered a job with Control Data Corp to manage the Austin office. While working at Control Data, he hired Pam Hemsing, a college junior at the University of Texas, and they were married in December 1984. Dave & Pam were living and working in Guam when they married and worked for an amazing family- owned Apple Computer distributor, who became wonderful friends. In 1988, Dave was offered a position with the fledgling Apple Far East office in Hong Kong. The next eight years were filled with an exciting and enjoyable life living in Hong Kong and Singapore and traveling throughout Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. While at Apple, Dave was offered the opportunity to attend Harvard for a post-graduate degree. He moved to Boston to take on this new educational challenge and also decided to tackle the New York Marathon. Dave had been a successful short and long distance runner and triathlete in Guam. Taking on this new physical challenge was typical for Dave and led to many future running accomplishments, including the Boston Marathon. In December 1990 while living in Singapore, Christa arrived and made the family whole. Dave was the doting father and cherished every moment with Christa, whether he was just playing and being silly or showing her the world around her. Dave was so proud of his daughter. After twelve years overseas, Dave and the family moved to Sunriver. Life was full of camping, running, hiking and lots of fly fishing – Dave’s ultimate passion. Dave grew up fishing with his dad from as young as he could remember and continued fishing for as long as was able. He was an amazing trout and steelhead fly fisherman and knew the best fishing holes on the Deschutes and McKenzie Rivers. He regularly took trips to Idaho, Montana and Washington for fishing trips with his faithful yellow lab. Together, Dave and Pam took adventurous fishing trips to New Zealand, Chile and Belize. In 1999, Dave purchased a lumber equipment building in Bend and turned it into an AAMCO Transmissions franchise. The business opened in May 2000 and Dave owned and managed the business until he sold it in August 2010. In late 2011, the AAMCO business relocated and a fledgling brewery moved into the building. Dave enjoyed working with the new brewery business owners in creating yet another successful new industry on that property. In December 2011, CRUX Fermentation broke ground on their new business venture. Dave was so thankful that his property investment was being passed on to these incredible new friends. David Beezley was active, smart and had an incredible sense of humor. What a storyteller! He could tell a joke and deliver the punch line or just tell a story and captivate a room full of friends and family. We are all better people from being part of Dave Beezley’s life. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. – 2 Timothy 4:7 Dave is survived by his wife of 31 years Pam Beezley, his daughter Christa Beezley, his mother Juanita Beezley, his two sisters Donna Beezley and Sherri Beezley Hancock plus his wonderful uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces.
