David P. Benkoski

David P. Benkoski, 66 of Clay, passed away on March 22, 2016 surrounded by his family at home.
He worked at Crouse-Hinds for 48 years. In 1970 he enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves where he retired as a Command Sergeant Major after 27 years. He was a volunteer hockey coach for MYHA and the Syracuse Stars from the mite level through midget majors.
David is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Ann C. (Wooster) Benkoski; sons, Adam (Briana), Brian and Craig Benkoski; grandchildren, Austin, Katelyn and Alicia Benkoski and Adelyn Minikhiem-Benkoski and three siblings, Rick, Elaine, and Gerard Benkoski.
Calling hours will be Friday 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse with a military service to follow at 7PM.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to CNYSPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Rd., Syracuse, NY 13211.
