David Bennett Obituary
He was born in Ware County to the late David H. Bennett, Sr. and Vonice Davis Bennett. Mr. Bennett was a certified public accountant for many years. During his career, he worked with H.H. Burnett, Dalton & Bennett, and South Georgia Accounting. He also served as the Ware County representative on the Board of Satilla Rural Electric Membership Corporation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann Smith Bennett; a sister, Geneva Bennett, and two brothers, Julian Bennett and Lewis W. Bennett.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Bennett of Dixie Union; a son, David H. Bennett, III of Waycross; a daughter, Callie Bennett Trammell (Jarod) of Waycross; four grandchildren, Ridge Bennett, Jake Bennett, Ellison Trammell, and Jentry Trammell; a brother, Andrew J. "Cotton" Bennett (Sharon) of Dixie Union; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2026, at Hephzibah Cemetery in Dixie Union. The family will receive friends at the cemetery beginning at 1:00 p.m.
