Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Wetzler) Bernas; devoted father of Mark Bernas, Kristen "Kiki" (Justin) Weigel, Kerri (Joshua) Paufler; cherished grandfather of Gwendolynn and Noah Paufler, Henry, Leo and Carmen Weigel, Erica, Charlize, Avery and Gabriel Harding; dear brother of the late Cathy (late Donald) Woodworth, the late Donna (late Leon) Rousseau, Terri, Thomas (Susie), Daniel (Mary) and John (Tammy) Bernas; loving uncle of Roxceene (Harold) Leanos; step-father of Peter and Charles (Marilyn) Harding; best friend for 60 years of the late Angus "Rod" McNeil; loving son of the late Thomas and Laura Bernas. Friends may call at the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home, 21 Pierce Ave. Hamburg, NY on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM.
