David Birney

I met David while he was doing a show in Hartford Ct back in the 1980´s. He had stopped for breakfast in a local coffee and bagel shop. He was one of the most kind person I have ever met. My cousin was doing theater at time. I was not sure of what I was going to do, but I said to myself if I ever become an actor that´s how I want to be. Sure enough 20 years later I started my studies. He presence was that impressionable

I met David through his children Mollie and Peter when I taught at the Mirman School. He was interested in their education. I knew Mollie better as she was in my class. The school didn't have twins in the same class in their Lower School experience. Mollie was a delight. She loved learning. David believed in the value of a good education. He loved his children. I am sure his later years when he was afflicted with Alzheimer's was difficult on all his family. I send my deepest sympathy and condolences to all his family.

So talented, it was always a pleasure to watch him, loved Bridget Loves Bernie as well as all of his guest appearances on other shows, great to watch. Sincere sympathies to the Birney family, may God be with all of you as you endure this very difficult time of your loss.

David stared as the lead (and I was a lowly chorus sailor) in the West High Schools play of the "HMS Pinafore". I always told people I went o school with a star. He will be missed - God Bless!!

My mother- Joan (McGinnis) Foliart was friends with David- they walked to West High together- she is a year older. Condolences to his family from my mother and our family.

Godspeed David. Wonderful actor and wonderful film and TV memories. Unforgettable. Thank you David.

Bridget Loves Bernie was one of my favorites growing up, loved watching him in his other roles too. Great actor. Heartfelt condolences to the Birney family, May God help you to endure this very difficult time of your loss.

David and I were good friends at West High School in Cleveland. He was an all around athlete as well as a gifted singer and actor while there. The attached is his picture from our 1957 yearbook - so young!
I was very sorry to hear of his illness and his subsequent death. My condolences to his families in Cleveland and LA and to his children.

My sincere condolences to the family of David Birney. I enjoyed his acting & his boyish good looks in the parts he played. May the family be comforted with their many happy memories & in knowing he was loved by his fans. May God soften your grief during this difficult time.
