David W. Borys

David W. Borys, 60, of Nanticoke, passed away, Wednesday, June 18th, 2025, at his residence, with his mother Kathleen at his side.

Dave was a graduate of Lake Lehman High School and the Phlebotomy Program at LCCC. He was employed at the former Nesbitt Hospital and Commonwealth Health for approximately 40 years.

Before Dave's health declined, he could be found golfing, salt water fishing with friends & family in the warmer weather and skiing in the winter. Always a Viking fan (win or lose). Also, a proud and supportive dad with his children's sports and athletics.

David was preceded in death by his father, Simon; brothers, Michael and Sean; as well as, nephew and godson, Patrick Sean Coffey; and Dave's longtime companion and forever friend, Karen Ciupinski.

Surviving is his mother, Kathleen Leonard Borys; sister, Ruthanne Thompson (Raymond), Norwich, CT; children, David Borys (Kelsey), Factoryville, and Olivia, West Wyoming; niece, Chanel Oddo, Torrington, CT; as well as numerous kind and loving cousins who stayed connected throughout his multiple hospitalizations and illness.

Family and friends are invited from 9 to 10 AM on Friday, June 27th at St. Ignatius of Loyola, 339 N. Maple St., Kingston.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, following the calling hours. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hugh B. Hughes & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, Forty Fort.
