David Scott Bowman, 56, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Born in Lexington, Kentucky on December 9, 1968, he was the son of the late Sandra Bowman.

David had a very small God given family, but was part of a larger family. He had so many people that he touched and cherished, too many to mention. But a few that were a consistent part of his life are mentioned below. He will be missed by all.

Survivors include his sister, Bobbi Scarbrough; one niece, Brooke Scarbrough; one nephew, Joshua Scarbrough; and his family friends, Krystal, Clara, Jessica, Kaye, and Sandra; and all of their children, that he loved so much.

This poem beautifully captures the essence of David's life, highlighting the loving and devoted brother he was, "to my wonderful brother, of all the gifts in life, however great or small. To have you as my brother, was the greatest gift of all. A special time, a special place, a special brother, I can't replace. With an aching heart. I whisper low, I miss you brother and love you so." -Unknown.

David's wish was to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 463 East Main Street, Lexington, Kentucky, 40507. Visitation will be 5:00 PM 7:00 PM.
