David Boyes Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Northlake Funeral Home on Nov. 26, 2025.
David Wayne Boyes, age 56, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025.

He was proceeded in death by his Mom, Janice (Dominick) Moore and Dad, Richard Boyes.

David is survived by his loving children Dylan and Elaine Boyes, Step-parents Marietta Boyes, and Jerry Moore; Siblings. Michael Boyes, John (Charlene) Boyes, Teresa Nyiri (Charles) and Michael (Jennifer) Smith; Uncles, John (Cheryl) Dominick, Ben (Mary) Boyes, and Aunt Diane (Richard) Parnell along with numerous cousins and friends.

He built his career with Local #63 as a Journeyman Ironworker for nearly 38 years and took considerable pride in his work.

David was an avid sports fan. He loved the Sox, the Bears and even the Cubs! When he wasn't enjoying a game with friends, he was watching the games at home. He also enjoyed hunting, camping, and traveling.

He was known for telling stories, making jokes, and pulling pranks. He loved making people laugh, but most of all, he loved spending time and going on adventures with his kids.

As the kids have grown, so have their adventures. They have spent a lot of time traveling over the past several years. From simple road trips visiting out of state relatives, to cross country road trips exploring various parts of the country together, making memories.

David is loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
