David James Bring, of Wellington, died on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, surrounded by his family, one day shy of his 72 birthday. Born on March 26, 1954, in Elyria, he was the son of the late Clifford and Dorothy (nee Machovina) Bring. David grew up in North Ridgeville and graduated for North Ridgeville High School. He later moved to Elyria and 13 years ago to Wellington.
David worked at the Rocky River Schools and Keystone Schools in the maintenance department and then for the Lorain County Metro Parks. He was a member of the Wellington Eagles, St. Patrick’s Catholic Parish, and the Elyria Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing and he was always fixing things for others. Most of all he cherished time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara (nee Reising) Bring; children, Timothy Bring, of Florida, and Jennifer Larson, of Marblehead; grandchildren, Allysa (Mike) Laboda, Ashley (Greg) Long, Trinity Paxton, and Trista Larson; great grandchildren, Mason Long and Hayes Paxton; mother-in-law, Shirley McCaskey; siblings, Patricia (Tom) Yanetti, Sue Briant, Donna (Dave) Conner, Steve (Mary) Bring, and Lisa (Fred) Seaburg. David was preceded death by his parents, Clifford and Dorothy Bring; a sister, Jeanne; and great grandson Levi Paxton.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, March 30, from 4-7 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home. A memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 1, at St. Patrick Catholic Parish, beginning at 10 a.m. Expressions of sympathy may be shared online at www.norton-eastmanfuneralhome.com.
