David Wayne Bruton

David Wayne Bruton was born to David Lee and Janice Claire (Spanhanks) Bruton on January 18, 1975 in Lawton, OK and departed this life in Lawton on December 24, 2024 at the age of 49 years, 11 months and 6 days.

David Wayne grew up in Walters, graduating from Walters High School in 1993. He eventually married and to the union 3 children, Kiera Elizabeth, Kristopher Michael, and David Wayne Jr. were born. He was employed by Bruton Construction. 

David Wayne had accepted Jesus as his savior as a teenager and was a member of First Baptist Church in Walters. He made All-Conference in basketball in 1992 and 1993, and led the state in 3-point shooting for Class 2A in 1993. He enjoyed extreme biking and skateboarding, playing basketball, snow skiing, golfing, and going to the lake. 

He was preceded in death by his father, David in 2020.

Survivors include his mother, Janice Bruton of Walters; his daughter, Kiera Bagley and Brett of Walters; 2 sons, Kristopher Bruton and Aleisha of Cache, David Bruton and Dalylah of Lawton; his sister, Karrie Hollingshead and Ethan of Lawton; 3 grandkids, Halston Bagley, Kaydence Bruton, Briggs Bagley, and one on the way, Booker; other relatives and friends.
