David Camacho Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Grace Funeral Chapel - Port Lavaca on Jan. 20, 2026.
With the roar of a final engine rev, David Camacho Jr., 62, of Port Lavaca, Texas, took to the golden highways of heaven on January 15, 2026.
Born on July 16, 1963, David lived life exactly on his own terms. A skilled craftsman in civil work and carpentry, he lived by a simple code: if something was broken, you fixed it and if someone needed help, you showed up. When he wasn't working with his hands, he was likely listening to classic rock, with Los Lonely Boys always playing at the top of his playlist.
David's heart belonged to the water and the road. A lifelong fisherman, he found joy in the cast of a line, but his true sense of freedom was found on his Harley's. An adamant enthusiast, he believed the world's worries could be solved by the wind on his face and the steady vibration of a V-twin engine beneath him. To David, a motorcycle wasn't just a machine; it was a vessel for the quiet peace he carried deep in his soul.
He was a devoted son who remained deeply close to his parents throughout his life. He loved his children with a fierce, quiet pride, holding a place of honor for each of them in his heart. Within the local biking community, David was a staple, a true "brother" to many and the kind of friend who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought.
David is survived by his parents, David Sr. and Eva Camacho; his brother, Dwayne (Mary Jane); and his sisters, Norma (Chuck) and Melissa. His legacy continues through his children: Jason (Kate), Chelsea, Zachary (Charlotte), Kassie (Jacob), Allison (Dakota); and his twelve cherished grandchildren: Leonardo, Kamren, Ryker, Karson, Olivia, Gordon, Jezinyah, Dominic, Gabriella, MelanieKate, Athyna, and Oliver.
Though he has left this earth, David's engine will never truly grow quiet. His legacy lives on in the stories shared by his brothers on the road and the memories held dear by the family he so loved.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 12:00PM – 2:00PM at Grace Funeral Chapel, 1604 W. Austin St., Port Lavaca.
Honoring David as pallbearers are Jason Camacho, Zachary Camacho, Gavino Barrera, Devan Camacho, Lance Windham and Sammy Lopez.
