David M. Campanale, lifelong resident of Weymouth, passed away suddenly, on March 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 51.
Born in Quincy on March 12, 1975, Dave was the beloved husband of Sherri (Hoey) Campanale and the loving father of David M. Campanale, Jr. of Weymouth. He was the dear son of Joseph and Judith (Purpora) Campanale of Weymouth and the devoted brother of Deana Ferrini and her husband David of Braintree, and Daniel Campanale of Weymouth. He was also the son-in-law of Jim and Carol Hoey of Braintree and the brother-in-law of Jay Hoey and his wife Jennifer of Norwell, and Carolyn Patten and her husband Kevin of Weymouth. Dave was the cherished "Fun" Uncle to Nicholas Campanale, Matthew Campanale, Jack Ferrini, Samantha Campanale, Ali Ferrini, James Hoey, Jaxon Hoey, Joseph Hoey, Julian Hoey, Anthony Patten, and Jared Patten. He is also survived by many lifelong friends who were like brothers to him, as well as his faithful companion, his dog Duke.
Dave grew up in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School, Class of 1993. He later attended the Peterson School for the Trades, where he continued building the strong work ethic and practical skills that served him well throughout his life. From an early age, he was immersed in the family business at Campanale's Italian Restaurant in Braintree, where he learned every aspect of the operation by working in the kitchen, tending bar, and greeting guests as a host. Those years helped shape not only his career, but also the easy way he connected with people from all walks of life.
Dave was currently the Service Director for Quirk Jeep in Marshfield, a role in which he was respected for his dedication, leadership, and genuine care for others. He brought the same commitment to his work that he brought to every part of his life, and he was known for being dependable, approachable, and always willing to lend a hand. Dave had a natural gift for making people feel welcome and valued, and his presence left a lasting impression on coworkers, customers, family, and friends alike.
Dave lived life with enthusiasm and heart. He loved watching his son David play hockey and lacrosse and couldn't be more proud of his accomplishments. He loved being on the ocean in his boat, The Three C's, and found joy in the water and the peace it brought him. He was an avid Boston sports fan, and he followed his teams with the passion and loyalty that defined so much of who he was. He was always the life of the party, and his great sense of humor could brighten any room. He had the best laugh, one that his family and friends will carry with them forever. More than anything, Dave simply loved life. He was the kind of man who was always there for anyone, and he took great pride in helping people whenever he could. His generosity, warmth, and steady presence made him someone others could count on without hesitation.
Above all, Dave loved spending time with his family and friends. He was loving, kind, and funny, and those qualities were evident in the way he lived each day. Whether he was sharing a meal, telling a story, cheering on his favorite team, or enjoying time on the water, he made every moment feel special. He will be remembered for his big heart, his loyalty, and the joy he brought to those fortunate enough to know him.
Dave's legacy will live on in the laughter he inspired, the kindness he showed, and the many lives he touched along the way.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, April 11th, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Rockland Golf Course, 276 Plain St,
