David Earl Canler, 57, of Scottsville, KY, was born on March 10, 1964, in Bowling Green, KY, to Robert and Mary Haycraft, and passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, in The Medical Center at Scottsville.
David is survived by his mother: Mary Haycraft; his wife: Mary Katherine "Kathy" Canler; their three children: Aaron (Erica) Canler, Michael (Stephanie) Canler, and Megan (Zach) Newell; two stepchildren: Brandy Knight, and Tabatha (William) Young; fifteen grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. David is also survived by four brothers and sisters: Teresa Canler, Jerry (Lori) Canler, Stephen (Donna) Canler, and Nancy Canler; along with several nieces, and nephews; and a zoo of dogs.
David was a loving husband and father. He was a kind and helpful man who was always willing to help anyone who was in need. David was a man who thoroughly enjoyed life, especially his UK Wildcats. He was known for being jolly; filled with laughter and the love of good jokes.
The family has entrusted Cone Funeral Home (1510 Campbell Ln) with arrangements. Visitation will be on Friday, April 23, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, April 24, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Cone Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service for David Canler will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 2 pm in the chapel of Cone Funeral Home with burial to follow at Clearfork Baptist Cemetery in Rockfield, KY.
