(LaTourette) Canniff, father Carl Canniff, mother Anita Cole & adoptive mother Helen (Canniff) McCullough; sisters Pauline Whittaker, Minnie Holcomb, Donna Seger, Linda Canniff & Joyce Tefft; brother Fred Canniff. David was an over-the-road truck driver for many years working his way up to an operations manager. He then worked at Miller Aviation and finally as a bus driver for the Chenango Valley School District which was his favorite job of all. Hunting "up on the hill", jumping in his truck just to take rides, dancing, camping, and spending time with family were among his favorite things to do. When he wrapped his big ol' arms around you for a hug, you knew you had been hugged by the biggest teddy bear.
There will not be any calling hours and a private Celebration of Life will be held for his family.
In lieu of flowers or other forms of sentiment, please consider donating to a charity of your choice or better yet, get a spiedie sub or an ice cream sundae and say, "here's to you Dave".
