David S.Chavez, age 64, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on August 7, 2024. David is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Maryellan Chavez; children, Angel Montoya and husband, David, Chanel Chavez and husband, Leo Perea; grandchildren, Damien, Arianny, Leilani; siblings, Clara Gomez and husband David, Lorie Leyba and husband Steven, Sandra Chavez and husband Glen; mother in-law, Rose Chavez, sister in-law Yvette Chavez, niece, Nichole Guerra and husband Rudy, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Asencion, and Cleotilde Chavez; and father in-law, Jimmie Chavez. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Montoya & Leo Perea. A Visitation will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 3:00pm in The Gabaldon Memorial Chapel located at 1000 Old Coors Drive SW, 87121. A Visitation will take place wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 9:00am with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30am with a Mass to follow at 10:00am all to take place at St. Edwin’s Catholic Church 2105 Barcelona Rd. SW with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd NE.
