David Thomas Chiles
February 23, 1939 ~ July 31, 2022
David Thomas Chiles peacefully passed away on July 31, 2022 in Kennewick, WA. He was born to the late Carroll Ross Chiles & Vivian Hilda Holt February 23, 1939.
In his earlier age he enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors, and he served in the military until he was honorably discharged to take care of family matters. He proceeded to become a carpenter when he met the love of his life Karen Lousie Elliott Chiles. They married on November 14, 1964 and were married for 51+ years. He then found his lifelong career at the Union Pacific Railroad as a conductor where he worked for over 36 years. After retiring he traveled around the US with his wife seeing the natural beauty of every state and seeing family.
He left behind a large and loving family including his daughters, Deborah Draughon (Randy), Sherri Pharo and son Gregory Chiles (Anna); Siblings, Steve Chiles and Carolyn Anderson (Steve); Grandchildren, Jamie Antignani (Jon), Megan Foley (Patrick), Alex Anderson (Steven), Quaid Harding, Chelsea Hammer (Daron), Shelby Milne (Jake), Kristi Chiles, and Braeden Pharo; step-grandchildren, Andrew Draughon, Chris Draughon (Jessica), Michael Draughon (Paige), Stephen Draughon, Shan Manaloto, Shawn Manaloto and Shezka Manaloto; Great-grandchildren, Blake Foley, Lucie Anderson, Remy Grace Foley, Ellison Foley, Aven Anderson, Rylan Milne; step-grandchildren, Sylar Draughon, Harper Draughon, Scarlett Draughon; As well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. David will be laid to rest with his wife at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd. After the grave burial service there will be a Celebration of Life held at 2442 W 4400 S Roy, UT, 84067.
David will be dearly missed by all of his loved ones.
