David Christian Obituary

David "Dave" Nelson Christian born on June 29th, 1940, left his temporary home to be with the Lord on March 3rd, 2026. Dave was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was the son of Leland and Grace Christian. He served in the United States Navy, where he was a proud member serving his country, and four years later was honorably discharged. Dave retired from a career as an equipment mechanic and "could fix anything". He was always the first one who was called on to fix cars, tractors, and anything else for his friends and family. He was always willing to lend a hand in any situation. Above anything, he loved and served the Lord until the day he met Jesus' face to face. He took so much pride in his family, especially his wife Linda, whom he adored. He was a kind and gentle man and had the funniest personality. He loved a good war movie and was always up for a conversation about his military days. He was a true blessing to everyone in his life and will be missed by so many.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 1/2 years, Linda Christian, his daughter's Susan Murdock (Tom), Wendy Silvey (Jeff) son's Jeff Christian (Sandra), Sean Christian (Gena), 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, with 2 more expected this year. He is preceded in death by his parents Leland and Grace Christian, and his brothers Phillip Christian (Ilene) and Mike Christian (Gretchen).

There will be a celebration of life at Berean Baptist Church on Saturday March 14th, 2026, at 11:00 am, with visitation at 10am, prior to the service. The address is as follows, 12975 US-278 Social Circle, GA 30025. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association or Georgia Hospice Care.

Dave's favorite hymn was "It is well with my soul". He loved the Lord more than anything, and there is peace in knowing he is with Him for eternity. Please keep his wife Linda and the family in your prayers as they navigate their lives without him.
