Mr. David Dewayne Church, Sr. was born September 9, 1960, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Sidney Bunch and Virginia Church. David went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 20, 2025.
David accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age. He was currently attending Greater Bethel AME Church. David was educated in the Nashville Davidson County Public Schools.
David was married to Sandra Bowers from 1994 – 2008.
He was employed by Robert L. Sico for many years. David enjoyed reading the bible, cooking, listening to music and being around family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memories are his children, David Dewayne Church, Jr., Linell Church, Robert Polk, Tammy Polk, devoted granddaughter, Dakiyah Childress, grandson, David Childress & Davion Buford, great-grandchildren, Akari Williams, Paisley Carter, Amaris Pitts, Messiah Pitts, sister, Carol Grant, nieces, Veronica Grant, Natasha Grant, Elizabeth Knight, nephews, Anthony Grant, Emile Grant, Matthew Knight and a host of other relatives and friends.
