We were closer in age than I realized - maybe that´s why he was never Uncle David - Just David - wish we could have connected more in the latter years. - Donna

My sister Donna just told me about Uncle David´s passing. The last time I saw him was at Grandpa Rufus´ funeral many years ago. I remember him singing a song for us then. Our mother Verdia, one of his two older sisters, was the glue that kept our families connected; she passed away in 2008. This obituary is the first time I have seen his complete family tree. I hope we can have a reunion in the near future. In the meanwhile, I am holding you all up in prayer.

I have, during the last year, wondered about David (as I called him), my mother's youngest brother (Verdia). All the siblings are now gone, Rufus, George, Onnie, Verdia and now David, the children of Rufus and Lorena Coleman. I am the oldest granddaughter. I pray God's strength for the family and that we can connect at some point in the future. God bless you all.
