David S. Cooper Sr., 76, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away November 19, 2025. He was born February 9, 1949, in Chambersburg, PA, the son of Donald P. Cooper Sr, and Jennifer (Flack) Cooper.
David enjoyed fishing and hunting. In his younger years, he also enjoyed dancing at the Chambersburg Motor Knights sponsored dances and at the Market House. David loved good jokes, movies, photography and looking at the stars with his telescope.
For many years after his two tours in Vietnam (1967 – 1970), he worked in a number of fields; Motorola in Arcade NY, Quebecor in Fairfield PA, and Phoenix Color in Hagerstown MD.

Before his health declined rapidly over the last several years, David was a lifetime member of VFW post 1599 and active in the Order of Cooties. He was also a lifetime member of the Amvets and a lifetime member of the American Legion.

David is survived by his children, David S. Cooper Jr., Angel L. Vance, Brandy R. Osgood, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings, Harry Cooper, Winnie Crist, Wes Cooper, Dean Cooper, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Donald Cooper Jr, and Linda Cooper.
A service will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:30 AM.
